When did we lose the capacity to appreciate a good ol’ anthology?
Should you believe the hype? The cinematic viewing experience of 2024 rarely starts from a point of tabula rasa. We consult evaluations and overviews before we head to the big screen, allow critics to dissuade us from watching (often worthwhile) pictures and rarely let ourselves be flabbergasted &/or negatively astounded.
So here’s to a rather simple evaluation of movies watched, emphasizing whether the agenda of renowned critics bull’s eyed or propagandized against a worthy viewing experience. Are the critics, or are the laymen right? How about neither?
